Lyset (English Translation) Lyrics – Gunnhild Sundli

(Verse 1)
When darkness comes and captures you,
Seek the light as you should.
Within you there is a song
About faith in the good.

(Verse 2)
You should sing a song today—
Release thoughts, so annoying.
It will show you the right way
Toward things you’re enjoying.

(Chorus)
Sing that song and look around,
Within you all can be found.
Sing that song and look around,
Within you all can be found.

(Verse 3)
Grass doesn’t grow on beaten paths,
You still hold on to hope.
But it’s time to blaze a new trail
Where goodness will prevail.

(Chorus)
Sing that song and look around,
Within you all can be found.
Sing that song and look around,
Within you all can be found.
Sing that song and look around,
Within you all can be found.
Sing that song and look around—
Seek the light as you should.
Sing that song and look around—
Seek the light as you should.

(Outro)
Seek the light as you should.
