Sunnanvind lyrics (English Translation) – Mares

[Verse 1]
Silk ribbons woven through your hair,
A stray beam of sunlight dancing on your cheek.
You were the most beautiful thing in the spring,
You were the most beautiful thing in the spring.
You said, “It blows on the moon now,”
A calm breeze, a wind that’s warm and mild.
You were the most beautiful thing in the spring,
You were the most beautiful thing in the spring.

[Bridge]
But now, when we look back…

[Chorus]
We drink Aperol and cava,
From our cups there in the arbor.
And it’s so easy to understand,
That we were happy,
Yes, we were happy,
That we were happier then.

[Verse 2]
We both learned to smile through the crying,
Pulled the curtain down and changed the scene.
You were the most beautiful thing in the spring,
You were the most beautiful thing in the spring.
And I know that all is forgiven now,
Every single word we never said.
You were the most beautiful thing in the spring,
We were the most beautiful thing in the spring.

[Bridge]
Now, when we look back…

[Chorus]
We drink Aperol and cava,
From our cups there in the arbor.
And it’s so easy to understand,
That we were happy,
Yes, we were happy,
That we were happier then.

[Refrain]
We drink Aperol and cava,
From our cups there in the arbor.
And it’s so easy to understand,
That we were happy,
Yes, we were happy, hey.

[Final Chorus]
We drink Aperol and cava,
From our cups there in the arbor, hey.
And it’s so easy to understand,
That we were happy,
Yes, we were happy,
That we will be happy anyway.
