How to Set Up and Use the Apple Music App in ChatGPT
OpenAI has integrated a dedicated Apple Music app within ChatGPT, allowing you to discover music and manage playlists using conversational language. This feature enables you to search for songs, albums, artists, and playlists directly inside your chat interface.
Setup Process
You can enable the Apple Music integration through ChatGPT’s Settings on the web, macOS, or iOS apps:

Once connected, the functionality is immediately available.
Key Features and Limitations
OpenAI states that all ChatGPT users can browse the Apple Music catalog, generate playlists, and listen to preview clips without a paid subscription. This opens up music discovery to everyone.
However, this integration is not a full music player. You cannot stream complete songs within ChatGPT; playback is limited to short previews. Its primary value is in music discovery and library management for subscribers.
If you have an Apple Music subscription, you can ask ChatGPT to create playlists, recommend albums, or find artists based on criteria like mood, genre, or activity. ChatGPT will then generate and add these recommendations directly to your Apple Music library.
Privacy Note
The app does not have access to your personal listening history or existing playlists. Earlier reports about history tracking are incorrect. The integration only has permission to add content to your library; it cannot read your private data.
How to Use It
After setup, you can direct your requests to the Apple Music app in two ways:

ChatGPT may also automatically route music-related queries to the Apple Music app.
