Happy Accident – English Translation – CHANYEOL

Experience the enchanting vibes of “Happy Accident,” a standout track from CHANYEOL’s upcoming second mini-album, “Upside Down,” set to release on August 25, 2025. This R&B gem, enriched with retro elements and featuring the ethereal voice of SOLE, beautifully encapsulates the serendipity of love through captivating lines like “Happy Accident / 예고 없이 찾아오는 Crash / 사랑은 제멋대로 맘을 휩쓸어.” In contrast to the fierce hip-hop flavor of “Black Out” from his 2024 solo debut or the heartfelt collaboration “Good Enough” with Punch, “Happy Accident” seamlessly merges CHANYEOL’s alluring charm with SOLE’s rich tones, crafting an airy, fateful atmosphere.

Launched with a stunning music video on August 21, 2025, the single paves the way for “Upside Down,” delving into the complexities of love, showcasing CHANYEOL’s evolution from EXO’s dynamic rapper to a solo artist. Happy Accident (English Translation)

[Verse 1: Chanyeol]
Yeah, like a scene frozen in time,
We two, couldn’t look away.
Our first meeting couldn’t be just chance—
That moment felt like a promise.
When I see you step into my arms, yeah,
It feels like even time has paused, yeah.
In these overwhelming feelings you give me,
I discover a new part of myself.

[Pre-Chorus: Chanyeol]
Holding your small hand tight,
Your warmth wrapping around me…
I love this.
I’ve been changing for you.

[Chorus: Chanyeol]
Happy accident—
A crash that came without warning.
Love sweeps the heart away as it pleases, yeah.
We both felt the same thing:
In that brief moment, that powerful pull,
We knew it was all fate. (It was fate.)

[Post-Chorus: Chanyeol]
Happy accident.
You’re a, uh, happy accident.
You’re a, uh, happy accident.
You’re an, ooh, happy accident.

[Verse 2: Sole]
It felt a little unfamiliar at first,
Hearing “we” instead of “me alone.”
I thought the feeling might just pass me by,
But truthfully—I’d been waiting.
A warmth that seeped into my heart,
Rushed in all at once,
And changed my entire season.

[Pre-Chorus: Chanyeol & Sole]
Moments where we’ve grown to mirror each other,
Like two perfect halves finally matching.
I love this.
You’ve been changing my world.

[Chorus: Chanyeol & Sole]
Happy accident—
A crash that came without warning.
Love sweeps the heart away as it pleases, yeah.
We both felt the same thing:
In that brief moment, that powerful pull,
We knew it was all fate. (It was fate.)

[Post-Chorus: Chanyeol & Sole]
Happy accident.
You’re a, uh, happy accident. (You’re a—happy accident.)
You’re a, uh, happy accident.
You’re an, ooh, happy accident. (Oh.)

[Outro: Chanyeol & Sole]
Ooh…
Ooh-ooh… (Ooh-ooh…)
Ooh-ooh… (Ooh-ooh…)
Ooh-ooh… (Oh…)
